I get it – I was never a nail girl either. Every time I painted my nails, no matter how long I left them to dry, I’d smudge them. Every. Single. Time. It didn’t matter if I used the bargain bin polish or splashed out on the fancy stuff – the result was always the same: a gloopy, smudgy mess. And how many times as you're painting your nails does the doorbell ring, the baby starts to cry, or you suddenly need the loo?! I thought I was just useless at doing my nails, so I gave up! Sound familiar?

So, What Exactly Are Nail Wraps?

Nail wraps (sometimes know as nail strips) are thin, flexible sheets of nail polish or gel that come pre-shaped and pre-designed. You simply stick them on, file off the excess, and boom – instant, smudge-proof nail art that lasts for ages! No drying time, no mess, no weird brush strokes. Just gorgeous, effortless nails!

Nail wraps sit flush on your natural nail for a seamless, professional look. And because they’re real polish or gel, they flex with your nails and feel completely natural

The Two Types of Nail Wraps – Which One is for You?

At Oh My Gosh! Nails, we have two kinds of wraps to suit different styles and needs:

1. Polish Nail Wraps (Easy-Peasy, Lemon Squeezy - No Cure Needed)

These are made of actual nail polish that has been dried just enough to stay flexible. They’re self-adhesive, so all you do is peel, stick, and file – no UV lamp needed! Perfect for anyone who wants an instant, no-fuss mani that looks like salon-quality polish but takes just minutes to do!

✨ Pros:
✔️ Super quick & easy – just stick ‘em on!
✔️ No UV lamp needed
✔️ Loads of designs – from classic to funky!
✔️ Great for beginners and busy bees 🐝

❌ Cons:
⏳ Lasts around 7-10 days (longer with a top coat)
💦 Needs to be kept away from water for a few hours after application to help them set

💅Polish wraps benefit from a top coat to add extra shine and protect from chemicals such as SPF in products.

Our polish wraps come in different sizes - Classic, Wider and Minis.  We also do a thinner, high shine polish wrap called Silks.

2. Semi-Cured Gel Wraps (Salon-Quality, DIY Style!)

These wraps are made of real gel polish that is 60% cured – meaning they’re flexible when you apply them, but once you cure them under a UV/LED lamp, they harden into a glossy, long-lasting finish. It’s like having a gel manicure at home – without the salon prices!

✔️ Lasts up to 3 weeks!
✔️ Strong & durable – perfect for those who are tough on their nails
✔️ That glossy, salon-quality gel finish ✨
✔️ More resistant to water and wear

✔️  No top coat needed (although you can add one if you so desire)

❌ Cons:
💡 You do need a UV/LED lamp to cure them (but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered – you can grab one from us!)
📅 Takes a teeny bit longer to apply than polish wraps – but worth it for the longevity and added strength!

We offer 2 types of SCG (semi cured gels just in case you were wondering) - our Gellies and Gellypops.

Gellies are our thicker gels for a salon quality manicured look.  As they are thicker they add strength and protection to your nail and are our longest lasting product.

Gellypops are made from the same ingredients as our Gellies but are thin like our polish wraps so are quick and easy to apply but require no top coat.

We also, from time to time, stock gels from our gal friend in the States, Lit Gels.  These gels feature a domed and high gloss finish.

How Long Do They Last?

Ahh, the golden question! On average:

• Polish nail wraps last 7-10 days, sometimes longer with a good top coat!

• Semi-cured gel wraps last 2-3 weeks with proper care.
